Jim's got a volcano in his mouth
Today we focused on getting all the backing vocals right. We played with just an acoustic guitar to hear every detail in the vocals.
Since we didn't have a working microphone earlier for Jimmie, Rickie hadn't heard his amazing power.
Jim started to sing out so loud that the walls started shakin and Rickie said;
"Holy shit man, It's like you have a volcano in there!" :D
Yeah it's true, Jim's got a darn good pipe. If you were in Moscow you would hear him shout from Oslo ;)

We did a sweet 6 hour long rehearsal today!
Martina came over to coach Rickie with some vocal tech.
Jimmie had to work an massive extra 6 hour overtime at the hospital but Johan jumped in and gave us some groovy rythm at the drums.
Took a break around 19.00 and went to a pizza place nearby, great pizza! =)

Hope you guys had a great easter weekend! It's been great with some extra days off! We did a nice long rehearsal today! It's closing in to the big show now, aprox 5 weeks left. It will be a blast!
We will rehearse tomorrow too and hopefully Martina will join up for some vocalcoaching=)

Party weekend ends up in sad songs
It's been one hell of a great weekend! Last friday me and Andreas hooked up with some old friends and really had a blast!
Yesteday we walked from Jonsered to Partille to buy more beer ( you gotta work for it haha) 10 km total. Tobias brother had in some strange way taken all their carkeys so he joined us by foot on this mission.
There's a new hot beer out on the market now. It's a Münich beer called spaten and we can all recommend it ;)
We hooked up with Rickie and his girlfriend Madde around 17.30 and went to Bryggeriet for some food. Unfortunatley Jimmie couldn't join cuz he had to work.
We went out to a party in Bergsjön and ended up at Sticky Fingers. There was this awesome band called "Tantrum to Blind" from Stockholm on stage when we entered. They had great energy and played really tight!
We did an early rehearsal today. Nice. Can't wait to get out on the clubs and play again.
I've been working on this song for a while but I can't get the melody right. It's so aggravating since I love the lyrics and they are TRULY STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART.

Jonas leaves Part of Jon, Rickie joins!

Efter en lång period av nedgångar med små uppgångar har Jonas nu lämnat Part of Jon. För ca 5 veckor sedan diskuterade vi Part of Jon’s framtid och konstaterade gemensamt att det är bättre om Jonas lämnar bandet då han känner att han inte har den tiden som ett satsande band som vi kräver.
Vi är fortfarande vänner, är tacksamma för de många roliga stunder vi haft och det är absolut inte omöjligt att vi kommer samarbeta på ett eller annat sätt i framtiden.
Vi önskar Jonas alla lycka till i framtiden med sitt eget låtskrivande och sin familjekarriär!
Det tog inte lång tid innan vi av en lustig slump hittade en man vid namn Ricke!
Vi tog några öl en lördag och kemin stämde väldigt bra. Veckan efter provsjöng Rickie och vi såg genast hans stora talang!
Vi är alla glada att ha hittat en sådan engagerad och talangfylld sångare och just nu är humöret och glöden starkare än någonsin i Part of Jon campet!
I nuläget har vi 2 privata spelningar bokade i juni som vi håller på att repar inför samt skriver på nya låtar. Vi har en hel del material och planerna ligger till att gå in i studion i slutet av augusti, släppa EP och sedan äntligen få komma ut och lira för alla er! Vi kan knappt bärga os

After a long time of big downs and small ups we’ve reached a mutual decision.
Jonas has left Part of Jon since he doesn’t feel like he has the time that our band demands from every member.
There are absolutely no bad feelings between us, we are grateful for all the great times we had together and wish Jonas all the luck in the future with his own song writing and family carrier!
We started to look for a new singer after found a guy named Rickie after just a few weeks!
We took a few beers on a Saturday and he blended in perfectly in the group. Later that week he auditioned and it was a perfect match!
Rickie got a very interesting voice with a great tone and he’s also very enthusiastic to give 110%!
The mood is great in the Part of Jon camp now. We have 2 private shows booked in June. After that we’ll focus on song writing and enter the studio in late august, release an EP and then finally get out there and play for all you guys again!
We can’t wait!
